Who are Adoption Connects?
We are a regional adoption agency created by a partnership of two local authorities, Central Bedfordshire Council and Milton Keynes City Council. We work together to provide adoption services for the two councils which includes:
finding adopters for children, supporting them through the assessment process, providing training, guidance and support
supporting adopters after adoption, with advice, information, training, signposting to relevant services and opportunities to meet other adoptive families and members of team
advice and information for birth families of children who have been or are about to be adopted
supporting contact following adoption between children, adopters and birth family
access to birth records for adopted adults.
Our name recognises the connections created through adoption and our vision ‘to place a child at the right time, with the right family, and with the right support’. We will work hard to make sure we achieve good outcomes for children.

Parenting in any guise has its fun and not so fun times and parenting by adoption is the same. As someone with personal experience of adoption I can say that in the end the ‘not so fun times are well worth it’.
Many children wait too long to find their adoptive family and the family they can feel accepted by so we want to help you think about whether you can be the person to provide them with a stable, consistent, and safe upbringing.”
